Photographs and polaroids from 20 years of modernism

François Halard on Architecture

Von Ambra Medda

Opening this past Thursday, Demisch Danant present François Halard: Architecture, a selection of photographs and unique Polaroids taken by the much-admired French-born François Halard.

Spanning his 20 year career, this exhibition presents the Halard's richly textured, and often dream-like, photographs of outstanding architecture and design figures of the 20th century, many of which have never before been published or exhibited. Included in the show are photographs of Albert Frey’s Palm Springs home,  La Maison de Verre (House of Glass), Cy Twombly’s Italian studio, and interiors and designs by revered Italian architect and designer Carlo Mollino.

Displayed both on the walls of the gallery and across a glass topped table, this is a great chance for lovers of romantically moody architectural photography to get up close and indulge in some masterful works. But get in quick, the show’s only on until March 2nd!
