This antique navette ring I would describe as "The Ultimate Navette Ring". With two particularly accentuated prongs, this incredible piece of jewelry was crafted with special care and attention to detail, and dates back to the first decade of the 1900s (the 1910s). The whole surface is studded with old-cut diamonds, divided into two sections, an inner and an outer one, each bordered by a yellow gold outline: in the inner section we find a row of 5 diamonds, including the largest diamond of the ring (the central one), and with four small diamonds placed at each corner; in the outer section, which acts as a contour, we have another 23 diamonds. The diamonds, as mentioned, are all old cut, for an estimated total of a whopping 2.40ct. The frame of the central part is entirely molded in 8K yellow gold, as well as the shank: the outer contour is decorated with a workmanship that we could define "lace", and that is particularly noticeable once the ring is worn; interesting element is the fact that the back of the ring is entirely closed with a gold foil (element that, however, does not negatively affect the brilliance of the diamonds). PERIOD: 1910s. CUT - IT: 14. MATERIALS: 8K gold and old cut diamonds (for an estimated total of 2.40ct) WEIGHT: 4.6 g.
